The Trio Miroir was born from a deep musical affinity and friendship between 3 string players.
Charlotte Juillard (violin), Grégoire Vecchioni (viola) and Christophe Morin (cello), three outstanding chamber musicians from different backgrounds (Malher Chamber Orchestra, Orchestre de l’Opéra de Paris, Quatuor Zaïde, Van Kuijk…), each of whom has developed a strong artistic identity.
In 2019, during the Rencontres Musicales d’Évian, they naturally decided to combine their talents to further explore the chamber music repertoire through the prism of the string trio, a true object of reflection.
The ‘mirror’ instinctively brings to mind the idea of a faithful image or symmetry that exists in all things, but it is also, in literature, the object that allows one to escape from reality and to enter the world of dreams.
It is with this in mind that the Trio Miroir made its first recording of Mozart’s Divertimento KV563 for NoMadMusic in 2022.
