Louis Rodde, named Adami’s “révélation classique” and a Fondation Cziffra laureate,  has been a guest at many prestigious venues. He has performed with chamber ensembles and as a soloist in festivals including the Festival Pablo Casals de Prades, the Chorégies d’Orange, The Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, The Festival de Schwetzingen, Folle Journée de Nantes, and in Tokyo and Warsaw.

After studying with Philippe Bary, he trained at the Conservatoire de Paris with Roland Pidoux and Xavier Phillips, and later with Peter Bruns at the Hochschule de Leipzig and Clemens Hagen at the Mozarteum Salzburg. He has crossed paths with numerous artists over the years including Jean-Claude Pennetier, Menahem Pressler, Ferenc Rados and Hatto Beyerle.

As a member of the Karénine Trio, which he founded in 2009, he trained with the Ysaÿe Quartet and other leading educators at the European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA). The trio, which has garnered the Munich, Vienna, Heerlen, Pro Musicis, and the Fondation d’Entreprise Banque Populaire prizes, has performed in concert halls including the Nouveau Siècle (Lille), the Salle Molière (Lyon), the Auditorium du Musée du Louvre (Paris), the Leiszhalle (Hamburg), the Wigmore Hall (London), the Herkulessaal (Munich), and the Salle Bourgie (Montreal). They have toured in Spain, Japan and China. Louis is also a member of the collective “Les Dissonances.” 

Louis Rodde has received support from the Meyer and SYLF Foundations, as well as from the Académie de Villecroze and the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst). He plays a Miremont cello lent by the Fonds Instrumental Français. He receives sponsorship from the Fondation Accenture.
