Kino Sounds
Kino Sounds was born within the Orchestre National de Jazz – Daniel Yvinec, where Yoann Serra, Sylvain Bardiau, Rémi Dumoulin and Matthieu Metzger met and played together for four years, from 2009 to 2013.
Each came from a different musical background, and the bonds were forged through the experience of touring and creative residencies.
The first project was a rereading of Duke Ellington’s Big Band score for Otto Preminger’s film Anatomy of a Murder. Using their talents as multi-instrumentalists and arrangers, the four members of Kino Sounds toured the programme throughout France for over two years.
The adventure then continued with the album Virtual Crime, music for a cinema without images.
