Ensemble 2e2m

Ensemble 2e2m is one of the first and most prestigious French ensembles dedicated to new music. With several hundred premieres to its name, the Ensemble plays a key role in the landscape of contemporary music.
Since its creation in 1972 by the composer Paul Méfano, 2e2m has managed to reinvent itself constantly. A cross-disciplinary laboratory for innovation and an agent of new artistic diversity, the Ensemble is a vital interpreter on French and international stages.
2e2m is subsidised by the French Ministry of Culture / Regional Cultural Affairs (DRAC) of Ile-de-France, the region of Ile-de-France (artistic service), the Val-de-Marne Department and the cities of Champigny-sur-Marne (premiere residency) and Gennevilliers (residency). It is also supported by Sacem and regularly by SPEDIDAM for the whole of its activity.
