The American conductor Case Scaglione is Music Director and Principle Conductor of the Orchestre national d’Île-de-France (starting in the 2019-20 season). Case Scaglione is also Chief Conductor of the Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn in Germany. He has been an associate conductor with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and music director of the Young Musicians Foundation Debut Orchestra in Los Angeles. He graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Music, the Peabody Institute and the conducting program at Aspen, where he received the James Conlon Prize. Case Scaglione has been a guest conductor with the Norddeutscher Rundfunk Elbphilharmonie Orchester in Hamburg, the Brussels Philharmonic, the Orchestre Philharmonique of Luxembourg, the Szczecin Philharmonic, the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, the Radio Televisión Española Orquesta Sinfónica in Madrid, the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra, the RTE National Symphony Orchestra in Dublin, the Ulster Symphony and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. In the United States, he has conducted the New York Philharmonic, as well as the Houston, Dallas, Detroit, Phoenix, San Diego and Baltimore symphony orchestras. In Asia, he regularly guest conducts the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, and he has led performances with the Shanghai and Guangzhou symphony orchestras and the China Philharmonic Orchestra.

Case Scaglione has conducted the Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn (WKO) at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Musikverein in Vienna and the Herkulessaal in Munich. With the Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn, he has recorded Karl Ditters von Dittersdorf’s Six Symphonies, based on Ovid’s Metamorphoses, and a CD based on Copland’s works.
